From your pantry you will need: 1 large egg, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/2 cup buttermilk (or 1/2 cup milk with 1/2 tsp. lemon juice or white vinegar), 2 TBSP unsalted butter, 2-3 TBSP milk
½ cup buttermilk (or ½ cup milk with ½ tsp. lemon juice or white vinegar)
For the glaze:
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter,melted
2-3 Tbsp. milk
Directions for doughnuts:Preheat oven to 325℉. Grease doughnut pan. Whisk together egg, oil and buttermilk in a large bowl. Stir in contents of doughnut mix. Mix until well combined. Pipe or spoon batter into well, filling each doughnut well half full. Bake 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to wire rack.
Directions for glaze:Combine glaze mix with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Slowly add milk one tablespoon at a time until glaze is at desired consistency. Whisk until very smooth. Dip tops of cooled doughnuts into glaze. Allow to set up for a few minutes. Enjoy!
